If you have always wanted to try your hand at pottery, get back into pottery after a break, or just learn something new, now is the time to give it a go in a supportive environment.  Small classes, lots of one on one support.  Past students progress to making larger vessels at your own pace.

Student review:

I have been attending classes with Karen for many years now, starting with her term classes and then moving into the monthly weekend sessions. Karen is a fantastic teacher! She takes a step-by-step approach to getting the basics of wheel throwing understood and then builds on those skills, adding more complex pieces to your repertoire. Karen has a love of ceramics that is infectious and with her classes creates a relaxing space to set your creativity free. Lee Turnley.

Classes are suitable for any skill level, especially beginners.

All equipment, clay and glazes are included for beginners: $295 for 4 classes.

For all pieces that you choose to keep, additional firing charges apply, $15 per kg per firing, (payment on collection).  Each piece requires two kiln firings.  This encourages you to be more discerning about the work you choose to keep, as fired work is on earth forever and cannot be recycled after it has commenced the firing processes.

Unlimited amounts of recycled clay are available for wheel throwing.

Please check your diary to make sure you can attend all classes before booking your spot.  Every effort is made if you need to do a makeup class, if there is a spot free in another class in the same term course, but there are no guarantees.  NO refunds or transfers to another course are permitted.

No more than 8 students per course, for maximum help and assistance, in a supportive environment.

Each student is required to bring an old bath towel and apron to each class, and wear clothes that you’re happy to get dirty.  No thongs or bare feet permitted.  Long fingernails are difficult to throw with.

After you have completed at least one course you are welcome to join the open studio program.

Payment will confirm and imply agreement with all Terms and Conditions.

Bookings via the website.
